Christopher Walken

(inspired by the actors / actresses thread)

Okay, I hear reference to this Christopher Walken all the time, but mostly on this board. (a lot of very annoying references to a cowbell and a fever  ) ...now, admittedly, I don't know that many actors by name, but I have no idea who this Christopher Walken is. Should I know him from somewhere? What TV shows / Movies has he been in? I want to be hip and in the know too!

Pulp Fiction
Things to do in Denver when you're Dead
Batman, (the one with Catwoman in it)
Recently with "The Rock" and "Stiffler" from American Pie in some movie...what was it guys????

All around great actor...seems to play creepy dudes...and does it well.

How about Biloxi Blues W/ Mathew Broderick (late 80's)
Dog's of War (early 80's)
The Deer Hunter (70's)

Do those ring a bell?

He is in a video too. Just dancing around. It's really funny but I can't remember the who the band/rapper/pop act was.

The guy really is one of the best. Check out some of his work.

That would be Fatboy Slim.

He really is great. He's the guy in "the Continental", a regular skit on Saturday Night Live, when he hosts, (and he's past the 7 times mark)

Even had his own specials.

I'm really surprised you don't know of him...there's even been reports of sightings from people living under rocks...

(I'm just kidding)

Christopher Walken is one of the most (intentionally and unintentionally) hilarious dudes around. His mere presence makes you laugh anymore because you know he's going to say something outrageous.

And then there's that hair...

as far as newer movies go he gave a hilarious over-the-top performance in The Rundown. That's the one with The Rock and Stifler.

Also he played Leo DiCaprio's dad in Catch Me if you Can and the Hessian Horseman in Sleepy Hollow.

my favourite Walken scene is in The Deadzone, in which people from the church visit him, telling him how god has blessed him with this clairvoyant power-
he responds by ranting about how his life's been ruined;

"'Bless me'? Do you know what God did for me? He threw an 18-wheeled truck at me and bounced me into nowhere for five years! When I woke up, my girl was gone, my job was gone, my legs are just about useless... Blessed me?! God's been a real sport to me!"
