Chromes for my RSD?

This is my RSD JJ5 with its current strings, flats that the dealer put on this bass for before shipping it to me in 2022. I am considering buying Chromes. Could I get at least as bright as I am in the video above if I switch to Chromes?

Fender 9050l are quite similar to Chromes ( but better IMO) and sound good on fretless. Tension is manageable and price is low. Wipe them down with alcohol before use to remove polishing compound and tackiness. They do take a few weeks to break in before you really hear their true tone.

I find the “tack” of Chromes also disappears with use

+1 The chromes I have on my Stingray are slick as glass. For context though, they've been on the bass for about 12 or 13 years. I will concede that they were tacky for about 2 weeks after being installed. They've been extremely low friction ever since.
