One more thing i just realized I need to bring, i have what is basically one of the biggest ongoing puzzles in my life, a vintage fender frontman amp and cab. what makes it complicated though is the fact that my dad got this thing 30 years ago from some gearhead guy who had apparently taken it upon himself to split it into 2 different parts (it used to be a combo. at least im pretty sure.) because they were too heavy together for him. then my dad switched out the speaker in the cab for a bass speaker because the whole thing was made for guitar, and left the head as is. theres probably even more thats happened to this thing over time that has just been forgotten.

so is anyone here good with vintage fender equipment that might be able to shed some light on what this frankenstein of a setup i have is? I dont even know what kind of showman it is beyond the fact that it has 2 regular ins and 2 ins linked to vibrato. Ive googled every serial number I can find on both pieces and havent gotten a thing yet.

I definitely would but I just started!

Put it down as a "I forgot to tell you but I made previous plans" kind of thing. :)

On another note, is anyone going to the guitar show at Kings Island on Sunday?

Here's the info on it.

Cincinnati Guitar Show

Date: 3/28/2010

at the Kings Island Inn Resort and Conference Center, 5691 Kings Island Dr., Mason, OH 45040 (Across from Kings Island Amusement Park). Show hours 11am-5pm.

The MB112 is 200watts to a 12", the MB115 to a 15". 28 and 33 lbs respectively. The MB210 is 500 watts through 2 10's at a svelte 39 lbs.

But, 500watts...that is just an absurd amount of wattage for most uses.

They weren't at GC the last time I was there. That hadn't officially been released, yet. But, all the reviews I've ready about the internet are glowing.

Once they are more common out, I am seriously pondering trying to sell my Backline 210 and moving one of the new MBs. I credit my GK with a pulled rib muscle.

are you looking just for combos? If your just looking for an amp head im a huge fan of the little marks personally. I have the II and couldnt love it anymore than I already do. the tone is exactly what ive always wanted to hear and operating at 4 ohms it puts out a whopping 450 watts . If your looking for a small setup though i cant say id recommend my peavy 410 cab. that behemouth weighs probably 100 pounds. which seriously is within 30 pounds of what I weigh. although I know justin will disagree on the lmII with his LM tube. Really hoping he brings it im looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is all about
