Cioks 4 Dip Switches

It's an 'expander' so I guess they assume you will be using it along with one of their larger supplies which has the diagram :)

Also, the 24v is the input voltage, not an output for a pedal.

Thread resurrect.

Is anyone running one of these units from a power bank? I’m interested in cordless pedalboard options.
I do. I can offer the following insights:

When running it via the USB in, the juice is limited. With a power bank that can deliver 5V 3A, you get a total of 1000mA.
This can be limiting when you run digital pedals or tube driven units.

I run mine with a laptop powerbank that can deliver 19V through USB-C and use an adapter to barrel jack, which lets it use the full 24W.

I read in the manual that a cable with USB C plugs at both ends will not work. Anyone knows why?
Just a layman theory:
With USB up until USB C, it was basically a Master/Slave device thing. The thing with the USB A plug was the master device and the thing with the USB B or micro or mini or whaever plug was the slave device. USB-C offers more functionality and the (smart)devices can figure their respective role themselves.
It might be that the Cioks is only a "Send me power" device, but does not communicate that through USB-C, so a power bank that can be charged or discharged through that plug might not be able to figure out what to do with a device that does not talk.

Thanks much!

I am not intending to replace my standard DC5 and DC7 on the higher power boards. Just looking to power a tuner, boost, and Sadowsky preamp, none of which have needy current draw.

Sounds like a winner.

It works fine powered by usb a variety of ways.

Never had an issue with usbC to usbC and from a power bank or not. Know that not all USB C to USB C are created equal.

I think the usb power bank just needs to be PD rated or whatever for the amperage. I use a big belkin bpb012 (75Wh) which is rated for 5v@3a from each port. I power my cioks and presonus interface from it at the same time.

I will never buy another supply. Everywhere my wife plugs in her phone I can now set up my practice board with headphones around the house .

When I tested mine with a 10000mAh battery, I got over 4 hours of runtime, powering a tuner, Line 6 G30, and a Two Notes Le Bass as an always on preamp. The Le Bass likely draws more power than all your pedals combined.
