Go to this thread and read my posts on the 23rd page, 12th post down. Someone before me modded this, and I restored it and did a partial refinish. I detailed it in this thread:
Club Clement (Part 7: Post your basses here)
Since then I put in a Nordstrand 3b-5b preamp in it and a set of Nordstrand Fat Stacks.
The tone is modern, jazz-I should with extended highs and lows. The 2 mid frequencies add scoop or guts. The passive tone works in active and passive mode. I set the trim pot of the preamp a little lower than it came, so the passive level would be similar.
This is an amazing bass with wonderful playability and balance and tone. It almost plays itself. I haven't weighed it, but I'd guess it in the middle 9's. The asymmetrical neck profile is to die for. I want to pay off a Dingwall and fund a fretless Clement build, or this would remain my number one. If those things happen otherwise, I will pull this ad.
It is in a very good condition SKB hardshell case, and I'll ship insured to the lower 48, $1300 paypal ok. That's half of what this build would cost right now.
