Closed Cabinet build

Well, you didn't ask me, but about the shape of the box, it doesn't matter very much, so long as it isn't extreme. And your options are limited because the front baffle has to be bigger than the driver. One thing to consider is making sure the ports have room to breathe inside the box. If they get close to the opposite wall, it increases their effective length, making the calculation less accurate. On the other hand, that's a way to effectively lengthen a port if it doesn't quite fit in a small box, but with the proviso that you might get it right on the second try.

I suggest thinking about ergonomics. Will the shape be convenient to carry? Will it accommodate the head and other accessories that you plan on using? And it has to look good. ;)

The 3" port depth in the design I posted earlier takes care of this possible issue.

Thank you fdeck, A 15” speaker and two 4” ports.
The specifications don’t say 3CF. There is a range of acceptable cabinet volumes, and each cabinet volume has an associated porting configuration that results in a family of cabinet tunings. If you want a 3CF cabinet, the porting may be different.

Sure folks build cabinets. Some build excellent examples, many build mediocre examples and some are positively dreadful.

I do this for a living, read through my comments again because there is a lot of valuable information that you can learn from rather than striving for mediocre.
