You can get a smaller black mini switch, yes.
You should be able to have that pickup switchable for single coil, dual parallel and dual series

those look like dual coils, big singles typically have offset pole pieces (these could be, just don't look like the way they make them nowdays). Like the ones shown in your post above.
black mini switches are readily available on this side of Atlantic, don't know where you get guitar parts, but we get them from allparts.com or bestbassgear.com and several other places.

I note that the page says, "3-Way On-On-On Black Round Bat Mini Switch" but it sure doesn't look black to me (more of a dull gray, actually). Obviously an oopsie on their part.

I picked up a Sadowsky MV4 in Trans blue finish this week..... she is absolutely wonderful !! She plays great, deep tone and what a great Jazz Bass !!! I love it and now get all the hype is for on Sadowsky basses !!
I want a number please !

I am not used to an active bass and find the output is so hot!!! What do you guys do about that ??? My Amp does not have an active input switch...

• Roll back the volume knob(s). But I don't like to do that either!
• Try passive mode?
• Get a preamp or other device that can lower the output going from bass to amp
• Reminder: the Sadowsky onboard EQ is boost only, so don't set the EQ knobs to center thinking that it's flat. Center is actually significant boost!

I sort of feel your pain: my amps can handle active basses, however some of my overdrive pedals can't. If I want to use my Sadowsky with one of those fussy pedals, I use a compressor to lower the volume going to that pedal. This can be done without compressing the signal, via the input and/or output controls (note that some compressors don't have these controls).

Thanks for the advice on the EQ boost, which I was not aware. She is sure pretty, however I will need to spend some time alone with her so both of us get along well !!! So far, so good! The neck feels absolutely perfect, very well designed!

I played with her this evening and cut down on the treble and bass knob, and certainly the Bass is shining even more now through my amp !!

Yeah, I think a fairly common EQ setting is to have the highs at zero with maybe a 10% boost in the lows. I'll bring the highs up when my strings start to go dead. The passive tone control can also be used to great effect. Try boosting the highs a bit and rolling some of the passive tone control off for added presence without any harshness. Great looking bass by the way!

Thank you bass12 ! You are close to me, my fellow canadian friend! I actually use very similar settings as you described above and she sounds absolutely terrific! She is so beautiful ! Now, I may have my GAS cured for a long time.... Oh wait, I may want a Sadowsky in 'P' style now !

Gahh! I've been trying to get my hands on that finish! I have the 5 and a PJ in that color. I need a j! The only one I can find is in japan.
