Club Sadowsky!!!

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I noticed that some NYC and Satin Sadowsky basses are signed on the back of the headstock by Roger Sadowsky and some are not. Does the presence or absence of his signature mean something regarding the bass?

I believe he tries to sign all NYC's. I took the green one in my avatar in for a neck sanding and when Lisa showed it to me, she said "oh, wait, Roger didn't sign it." And took it back into the work room, where he busted out his pen and autographed.

Hmm... I've had 3 NYC Satins custom built and only one has Roger's Signature. I wish they all had it....

Kilo makes the single knob in chrome:
JD Series — KILO INTERNATIONAL

Don't know if they have the stacked knob. The shaft size is 0.250 inches.

Wow, that is an insanely nice quilted top.

It's like looking out over the ocean during a sunset.

I'm pretty sure The MetroExpress use the Metro Line pickups and are hum cancelling. The MetroExpress I used to own sounded awesome.

Oh yeah, I played one the other day and it sounded amazing. But the pickups looked a little different and had staggered pole pieces, so I just wondered if they might be single coils.

Thanks for that, I've been wondering for a while now.

In a perfect world, every instrument that comes out of the shop would be photographed and put in the "sold" section when it leaves. We do our best, but it's usually the stock page instruments that hit the sold page.

Who has used both the split and stacked 5 string pickups? Would you mind commenting on the tonal differences?

Had to get some fret work on my metro PJ5. I couldn't get my action low, how I like it. High frets at 13-18 and also loose frets. Local tech took care of it and plays like butter now.
