Double Bass Col legno bows

hi guys anybody any experience with COL LEGNO carbon fibre bows. Saw one selling for £350 wonder how it compares with the FINALE bow. They are both chinese made.

I have a col legno bow. From the pics of the Finale I have seen it looks like exactly the same bow made under a different name. Might be wrong though...

That's an amusing name for a bow!

I have a club with some hair on it I keep in my bow case. When the music calls for "col legno" I pull it out and use it to hit the strings with so I don't damage one of my good bows. I've always heard the term "col legno bow" as a term of derision used to refer to a bow that wasn't good for anything but hitting the strings with the wood.

I have a few bows just for col legno. Not a great endorsement.
