It's beautiful and I'm hoping it has a good sound.

I like bob's basses but he doesn't give a warranty for left handers.

+1 on what Drurb just said regarding the Uptons.

I have an Upton Hawkes Laminate as my main road bass and I don't think you'll find a finer plywood bass out there. I'll also be getting a Professor in a about a month! I'll have the plywood for the road and the Professor for everything else. Couldn't be happier. I'll be sure to post some pics and my thoughts on the instrument when I get it in my hands and play it a bunch.

When I first visited Upton to try their basses, I was strictly in the market for a plywood bass to take on the road. The only Lami they had in the shop at the time was the superswing model and it was what sold me on them. The superswing is exactly the same as the Hawkes model except with a blond finish. If you can, I'd highly recommend taking a trip to Mystic, CT to visit the shop and play the basses in person. Like I've said a lot on these forums, I think it's always better to play as many basses as possible before buying. Upton is a great shop and you'll have a great time there, I'm sure.

In Saint Louis, Missouri. The trip would be nice but just can't afford it right now. I'm asking around but so far the superswing is whats getting me. I called and they have warranty's even for left handed models, which is awesome.
