COMBO ADVICE!

Hartke combo always did well by me, and would NOT distort at high volumes. Usually any buzz I would hear was something in the room, and not the amp/cab. I would think hard about holding off on an amp/cab purchase until you can afford something that you don't have to max-out in terms of volume and performance. I think it would be better to run a bigger amp/cab setup at "6" than a smaller setup at "10" if nothing else for the longevity and satisfaction with the gear's reliability and sound.

Best to you.

If you want high volumes without a distortion then you need some headroom. Just 100W combo may not cut it simply put. I have Roland Cube 100 which can put some decent volume (even if it's rated at 100W) but it isn't 4x10 rig obviously.

You are looking after a more powerful amp really than 100W.

i Saw an ad on an ebay-ish site for an ashdown MAG 300 15"combo for 350 euros, good deal? its new+i could haggle a bit :p.

Get it! :hyper: My best friend just bought one and loves it. I have the MAG 300 210T and it is great alone or paired with my ABM 115 cab. Being in the US, I have no idea if it is a good deal or not but that combo would do you right.
