does it work to use a combo amp instead of a head, because i have a 450w markbass amp 1X12 and want it to be louder. so could i hook it up to a cabinet?

Sure. Just check that the total combined impedance doesn't drop below 4 ohms. A matching 1X12 Markbass cabinet in the 8 ohm version should work very well.
