Comparable to Kubicki Ex-Factor?

Tonally wise, I found that a Peavey Cirrus can sound someway close to a Kubicki.

They`re obviously completely different in terms of construction (they only share pickup config).

The two Peavey Cirrus comparisons are very interesting. But, I've never played a Cirrus. How does the playability compare... Kubickis are so smooth and you can reach every fret so effortlessly- and it has such a great neck. Any way it goes, you've definitely peaked my curiosity.

Anyone out there own both basses? Barring that, has anyone owned both in the past and have similar comparisons?

Cheers,
TC

A9X, I assume that was a used instrument? When was this?
It was darn near the best $650 you ever spent on a bass guitar I'll bet.

There's one on ebay, looks like it go for around a grand.
It was about 3-4 years ago. It went around on ebay several times with no bites, so I emailled the seller and made an offer. It's an FCS, but with a NOS 6 pos pre, Phil has restored the bridge (more of a preventative than neccessary maintenance thing) and it's been repainted white and given a full setup. So it owes me a bit more, but I don't care. Still cheap compared to almost anything I can buy new down here.

Yes, I have have both. I have a USA Redwood/Alder Cirrus fiver and a USA TigerEye Maple sixer (see pics below), I've never owned a Cirrus 4 string though. The real big difference is the scale length. The Cirrus (4 banger included) is 35" scale compared to 32" on the Ex Factor. They do balance perfectly however and hang really well so the 35" scale isn't so much an issue for me. Both my Cirrus's have insanely low action and super fast comfortable low profile necks that make them amazingly easy to play IMO (The Cirrus is a neck-thru bass BTW). The construction, hardware, pickups and electronics are top notch as well. Since I only just got the Kubicki I've barely spent any time on it, plus it really needs new strings and a proper setup, but as of right now based on my initial impressions, my Cirrus basses easily smoke it in terms of playability as far as I'm concerned.
