1927 josef novotny, czech flatback upright. pencilled on label is #420 1927 (maybe it's 1917? 1929? hard to tell).
label also says made in czechoslovakia and imported by rudolf wurlitzer co. new york, NY.
the bass was completely restored in 2006-07 (and maintained) by mike asetta. if you don't know his name, he's worth knowing! mike trained under lou dileone and is a great luthier and player.
the bass has a new fingerboard and bridge. hasn't been gigged since restored. only studio and home use. $7500 obo.
i'm near new haven connecticut and not willing to ship. willing to work out partial delivery, etc.
