Compression pedal and Zoom B1Four. What order?

Hi all, I have a Zoom B1Four and a Keeley Bassist Compressor. I was thinking of using them together just to tame the Zoom which can be a bit all over the place with volume depending on the preset being used. Two questions

1. Does anyone use a compression pedal with a Zoom B1Four or something similar?

2. Where would I put the compressor for best results? Before or after the Zoom?

You will likely get the best result with the Keeley Comp first but as always try both ways and see which you prefer. On the rare occasion I use a comp ( SA Ultrawave Bass) it is before my Sushi Box Underground Accelerator preamp and MS60B.

If I was playing a particularly clanky bass, like a stingray, I'd put it before, so the spikes in volume doesn't clip the Zoom B1X4. The clipping isn't as bad if you plug into an amp, but if you primarily use a headset like I do, it's very annoying sounding
