Compressor Pedal

I currently use an Ampeg Portaflex 500 for my amp through an 8x10. Then for a pedal I have the Tech 21 Bass Driver DI. I was thinking about getting a compressor pedal and maybe a pre amp. But i think I can do without a preamp. The compressor Im looking at is the Mark Bass compressor pedal. Has anyone used/has one and give me some input?

*I play pop punk/post hardcore music.
