Confused

Hey there community

I play bass sometimes. im in college studying biology and I have a squier jazz bass cv V, very beautiful instrument but it's too (MOD EDIT: welcome to TalkBass. Please either fully mask profanity or better yet improve your vocabulary) heavy.

I play videogames too, well, I don't have any console and this dude from marketplace is selling a good looking Nintendo switch with some games at a really good price and it's tempting me a lot.

But another dude it's selling an Ibanez SR 300 4 strings in pearl white finish at a good price too! In the past I had this model but on 5 strings version in weathered black, very lightweight but the neck was a bit strange for me, it was like a guitar neck in some way.

It's a very stupid question but I don't know what to do, definitely can' go for both but damn, both are really good deals!

Have you considered trading in the Squier for a bass that doesn't weigh too much?
Or simply buying another bass.
Countless lightweight basses to choose from.

So you have a bass you don't like and now you're torn between buying another bass you know you don't like either and using the money to get a video game console?

You could sell the bass you have and pool the money to get a better bass.

I've always wanted a Switch whenever I spent time with my nephews, but whenever I ran across a good deal I asked myself where I'll get the time to play with it - and that ended the discussion. You might be in a position where spare time is not so much an issue.

Instead of buying the switch use that money for a gym membership and lift weights until you’re strong enough to hold the bass

I made a career at Land-Grant universities. We tend to practice moderation; a dozen seemed adequate.

I've made my decision and wanna share it with you.

The thing doesn't sound tho, I think that need a new battery or something but for $150 it's cool, the bass looks kil

If you are saying that the bass does not make any sound at all, my Ibanez, which has similar electronics, goes into passive mode when you throw the switch. Try that. Nice decision by the way.. of course you made the right one!
