I have a Phonic 740 powered mixer with two Phonic S715 speakers and a Gemini GVX SUB15P powered subwoofer. I know this is a terrible combination of PA equipment but it'll have to do because I am on a strict budget.
I connected the two S715 speakers into the mixer from the back main. Then ran a TS to XLR cord from the back of one of the S715 speakers into the subwoofer.
This was working great for awhile then one day the subwoofer stopped working. I don't know what caused it as a lot of different people use this equipment.
I know this setup worked with the "tape in" input with the RCA to 3.5mm hookup. But the prongs got stuck in the "tape in" input so I have begun using the AUX in input. Could this be the issue?
Please could someone tell me why the subwoofer has stopped working? Is it the fact that I am using the AUX input? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
