I am a bassist at my church, and I recently invested a ampeg stack pf500 and pf410 cab. I notice has a xlr connection that connect to a digital mixer. I can't tell what kind of digital mixer it is, but it is quite big, and can work off an ipad. What kind of xlr cable would I need, and does it need to be plugged into a DI Box before sending to mixer. PA System don't have subwoofers yet, but sends signal to the live feed

Connecting to digital mixer with pf500

The xlr connection on the back of your amp is meant to plug into the mixer with just a standard xlr mic cable. No DI box required. There might be some gain adjustment required at the mixeer. Work with your sound guy to see what he wants to see. You can use the 0/-40db switch on the back of your amp to to send a stronger or weaker signal to the mixer. The sound guy can adjust the input gain on the mixer to get the proper gain level into his mixer.
Another decision on a PF-500 is the pre/post EQ switch. Pre sends a signal without the EQ settings on your amp. Post sends the signal that reflects your amp EQ settings. A lot of sound guys like Pre, as it gives them an uncolored signal to work with. If your amp EQ settings used to adjust for the room, you might send Pre. If your EQ settings are used as part of your "sound", you might send as Post EQ.

Depending on the distance from stage to the mixer they might use a snake. in which case you run an XLR cable from the back of your amp head to the stage box onstage. Also check your output settings on the amp. Most allow a pre or post signal to be sent. it is usually best to send a pre signal not a post signal.
The mixer is a X32 Behinger digital mixer. There is a box on side of the stage. I just wanting make sure if need a DI Box or if need a certain xlr cable. There isn't sound guy to help me, but I will see when we can start having in person services again.
nope, regular mic cable is all you need.
the "DI box" is built into the amp, that's what that XLR jack is.
