I got my Daphne blue Highway One probably in 2004 new from a local music shop. Played it, went to music school with it, etc.
I went to a Guitar Center to get a quote. They contested the authenticity of my bass, saying the bridge was a retro style, the paint on the body is too thin, the plate on the back isn’t Fender stamped, I have a gig bag and not a hard case… etc.
Anyway, they said they’d have to separate the neck from the body to see if it’s a Highway One neck and body that are paired. I went home and did it myself. The pictures are what I found. The stamp fonts are matching, dates are near to each other. I feel they belong together. What is your opinion?
