control plates and jazz basses

Hey all, This is for an SX bass. Im wondering if I could install a (Fender style) '62 jazz bass stack pot control plate on a SJB 75-C jazz bass? The only thing Im not sure about are the holes on the control plates lining up. Im hoping theyre the same size, even though one is 2 pots and input, the other 3 pots and input. Anyone have any idea?

I am really not sure what your worried about with the alignment. The mounting holes are in the same spot and the pot holes are along a straight line in the cavity.

I put a 3 hole plate on a Squier when i removed the neck pickup. The only issue i had was that the mounting screws for the 3 hole plate were smaller than the old screws, so i had to fill and redrill the holes.
You can't use the old screws because the 3 hole plates do not have countersunk holes like the 4 hole plates.

SX tolerances are not exact.
Even if the control plate holes line up, it may not line up at the pickgaurd.
I know first hand the a Fender pickgaurd is not an exact fit but can be made to fit
