Cool or ugly?

I like it; it is different with the colors for the pickguard/control plate, but I think it is cool. When I first saw it, cool came to mind for me.
I am planing on cutting a tort to replace the black pearl. I wanted to experiment first before I cut the good one.

Eh. Do you like it? It looks bland. And yes, the pickgaurd and knob plate looks bad together. Just my opinion. If you like it that's all that matters. I think it would look better the guard had a clear coat on it at least.
I vote is cool on the pickguard, ew on the control plate. A one piece wood pickguard/control plate would be cool.
It'd also look better with a rosewood fretboard (in my opinion), but obviously you're not going to buy a whole new neck to satisfy my tastes.

wasn't there a rule saying that you cannot declare ugly an instrument belonging to someone else?

I vote cool as its kinda different but Pesonaly I would do a matching control over. That's just me. I think wood pick guards are the only pick guards worth having, not into pg's.
