For the 25 years I lived in Chicago, my Illinois plate was XXI XII. No one ever said anything, until one day, merging on to the Kennedy after the toll booth by O'Hare, I was in the left lane when a Caddy driving in the breakdown lane pulled up next to me, powered down the window and the passenger said "Rush?" I gave him a thumbs-up, and they cranked the volume on the Rush CD they had playing! I let them in in front of me.This reminds me of a story. I worked in a building with various agencies. There was this gorgeous attorney that I used to see in the halls. One day I was getting out of my car and she was pulling in. I noticed that she had a personalized license plate that said, "DANKO".
We were walking into the building together and I said, "Does your license plate have anything to do with RICK Danko?" She looked shocked and said, "Oh my gosh, you're the first person who EVER realized that!!" I just smiled and said, "Well, I AM a bass player..."
