the Prime Movers Blues Band in 1966 as the house band at Mothers in the Ann Arbor.
original members are the already-named Iggy (James Osterberg) on drums, Jack Dawson (later with Siegel-Schwall Blues Band) on bass, Dan Erlewine (later guitar builder and iconic repairman/author) on lead guitar, Robert Sheff (in back) on keyboards, who later became “Blue” Gene Tyranny, a classical avant-garde composer, and Michael Erlewine, lead singer / harmonica player.

One of the great but somewhat overlooked swing/blues guitarists ever. I saw the Nightcats a number of times in the 80’s. Estrin was a great frontman as well, he personified the vibe of a sleazy but slick used car salesman.

Wow, so he and Jeff went way back. If there is a version of “Mustang Sally” to love, it’s the one they did. I love how Buddy took Clapton to school in that Supershow film

Michael Erlewine's daughter (and Dan's niece) is a fine singer-songwriter in her own right. May Erlewine - Wikipedia
She's collaborated with a couple members of Vulfpeck on her last several albums.

How soon is now? ‘Now’ was last night a my little local roadhouse, Pappy and Harriet’s, when Johnny Marr and band rolled in…

Toward the end of the evening, he brought out Billy Duffy from The Cult to join in; they gave a surprise reading of Iggy Pop’s “The Passenger”

Opening act was His Lordship, a side project of Pretenders lead guitarist James Walbourne…

They were a mash-up of early punk and pub rock, with a little Dave Edmunds/Love Sculpture thrown in. James is married to Richard Thompson’s daughter, Kami, and they have had a folky duo, The Rails. He’s also worked with Ray Davies of the Kinks, The Pogues, and a host of others.
Ironically, I’ll be seeing Richard perform next week, then the next night, Marshall Crenshaw, who has covered RT’s song, “Valerie”.
