One of the coolest things of my years in Richmond, Va. was going to see a free VCU percussion department concert with Chester Thompson guesting on drums.



They did the Black Page, first with just Chester, and then with the percussion section accompanying him.



Fantastic!

That must have killed!

Is this New York? I've never been sure if it was New York or Tokyo..Only reason is the poster I have of thus pic has a japanese symbol or word on it which is why I always wondered where it was at.

Haha. Jokes about the craziness of 2019 aside, in actuality he was there to talk about his mom's internment in a concentration camp during WWII and to thank members of the military for their service.

Did not know that. That puts the relationship between Kiss and Rush in some perspective, since Geddy's mom is also a survivor, and Simmons is a known Rush fan. At least he showed up on the documentary to talk them up and reminisce about the early days of Rush touring with Kiss.
