I know they don't get much love here, but they were/are hugely important to my daughter (now 22) when she discovered them, only months before they broke up. I remember her asking then what the odds of a band reuniting, and I said "it could happen", not wanting to dash her hopes, but not thinking it would actually ever happen. I became a fan through her, I think they are great, they play well, Way is a great frontman, I think Iero and Toro work extraordinarily well together with their contrasting guitar styles, and they write great songs. My son (now 19) actively disliked them for years due largely to having to listen to them so much growing up by way of his sister. Well, they reformed in 2019, and I bought tix for my daughter and me, only to have the show delayed for two years due to Covid. That two years gave my son time to soften his position on them, and actually become a fan over the past year. As a result I managed to score him a ticket to the show as well. Last week we hit the road to Philly for a couple of days to see the show. It was fantastic, everything they (and me too) had hoped it would be. I was so happy for my daughter in particular, this band's breakup was to her, like the day I heard John Bonham died.
