If you click the "Mark Forums Read" button while you are within a particular forum, it will give you the option to mark that forum read, or to mark all forums read:

Can I change how many posts per page is displayed ? I cannot find an option for that.

In addition to what Febs posted, you can also click the folder icon next to the forum name to mark a forum read. For example if you're looking at the Customer Service category (http://www.talkbass.com/categories/customer-service.59/), you can click the folder icon next to "Forum Usage Issues" to mark all threads in this forum read.

Sorry, no way to change number of posts per page yet.
