Covering on goldhardware

Hey guys,

i got a little question: I have a sandberg bass since 2011 and it's a wonderful bass. The only thing which is a little bit annoying is the fact, that my gold plated hardware has a covering which is kind of green when you try tu rub it down.

Maybe someone had the same problem and could solve it.

Jeweler's rouge on a soft cloth to clean and polish. Refrain from doing this often. The plating is thin. Rouge, and just about anything else, will buff through.

The pitting will remain.
