Crackling Aguilar Agro

Quick question. I recently got a Aguilar Agro. Really liking the sound but I've noticed a crackling sound with the pedal. it shows up as the signal decays from the bass. Once I mute the strings it goes away and doesn't come back till hit another note. Not really noticeable in the middle of a riff or chord but as the note hangs you can hear it and it is more noticeable at higher gain settings. It's not the end of the world but I just want to know if it's part of the circuits design or if I have a bum pedal.

Mine only does it when I turn the saturation knob. Do you have any problems with turning the knobs?

If it's a brand new pedal, though, you may have a problem in your unit.

My knobs are OK and seem to respond properly. I reached out to Aguilar and sent them a recording of the noise. We'll see what they say.
