Looks like a musicmaster shortscale from the 70's.

The entry level Fender bass of the '60s and '70s. Fun to play, not as much fun as a Mustang. $500 is a bit high for a late '70s Musicmaster.

One just went in the TB classifieds. They pop up every now and then. The Musicmaster, as well as the Bronco, was billed as Fender's "student model" guitar with the short scale, stripped-down features, and lower price. I have a 70s Musicmaster guitar that I absolutely love.

Looks like an overpriced piece of junk to me. Now if it was a Jazz or a P-bass...?
