Crap head or cab?

I play thru a bbe max pre-amp into a QSC RMX850 poweramp into a Avatar 210 Kappa Pro all for about $750. Sounds great and as long as you aren't trying to fill a big room with your rig's sound, it's plenty. If you don't have pa support add another avatar cab for little $.

i agree with the fact that this is a VERY subjective question. knowing your budget might help us all recommend a couple of things. FWIW tho, i had an early 800RB that i played through a home-made crummy speaker that sounded like PURE KAKA - meaning it didn't sound good at all. i put that with a decent speaker and WOW it sounded MUCH better.... fast forward SEVERAL years and i played a Dean Markley head (which i bought for $50 needing repairs) into my Genz Benz cabinet and WOW did it sound great. so i guess that i'm saying i'm in the good cab -> crap head camp ;)

put the money into the cab first. One poster said "you can always buy a better cab later if you put the money into the head". What kind of logic is that? Of course you can. If you buy a better cab you can always put the money into a better head later. :smug:

Anyway, put the money into the cab.
