Crate B200XL

So I'm new to the bass and I picked up a crate b200xl head for a steal ($35) but now it's impossible to find the matching 1810. Can any of you recommend a good cab that runs 200 watts @ 4 ohms or 2 smaller cabs running 100 watts @ 8 ohms? Ive looked at several 410s, 210s, 15s and on with no look finding a good match.

You don't need to "match" the amp and cab, any cab that's 4 or 8 ohm and can handle 200 watts or more will work. If you're going to be playing on stage in a band, I'd really recommend a 4x10 cabinet. A 1x15 or 2x10 cab will be fine too, it just depends on how much volume and bass you need. Used cabs can be a good value, but be sure and play through them before purchasing.

Don't forget to use a SPEAKER CABLE to connect the amp's output to your (future) speaker cabinet, avoid the temptation of using a guitar/instrument cable, the wires are too thin.

I used to own one of these (basis of my username), and I loved it. I played it through a G-K 4x10 neo cabinet. I ended up trading it in on an Ampeg pf-500.

@Crater yeah the speaker cable is a must, I was looking more so for suggested cabs outside the matching but since I have little expertise I'm not quite sure how to pick the right fit. Main uses will be funk and metal really just hoping for something loud and crisp.
@Wicked G thanks I'll check these out, if you have any specific suggestions please let me know!

I just realized you are new to Talkbass, so let me offer you a warm welcome.

Now in all honesty I would recommend waiting and getting something nice, but since you are new and cost is probably a big factor I would say the BT410e. It is 400 watts at 4 ohms and sounds decent. Granted of course if it is in decent condition as GC has it listed as fair. If it is in pretty good condition, then $135 for that cab plus $35 for the head is not bad at all.
