let's do something funny and put up pictures of the wackiest basses around.

Let me start with Dusty Hill's ZZ-Top Dean Sheep's fluff bass.

Eeeek! or rather baaaah! ;)
Those furs look like to be in the way at the E - so sustain couldnt have been the reason he had that made :D

A while back there was a thread about wacky bass or wacky trends of bass shapes? i dont remember, but someone said the ultimate wacky bass would be a leopard-fur-covered bass... lol this one is close, even worse it exists... :D

yep, the ZZ-bass is really wicked.
one of my basses is also VERY CUSTOM made, sounding not that good, an old squire, frets removed, electric modified by jens ritter, laquered by a friend:

I think I would have been inclined to name it "hangover." ;)

No disrespect intended -- it is very cool.

Not a bass but crazy none the less.

I made this one myself, it's made from first class maple, very figured but the plank was too narrow to make a usable body of so my boss said, "here, you take it and work your magic on it." and so I did.
