I've watched a few of this guy's videos. He is not interested in making practical devices so much as whimsical experiments. He does crazy stuff like filling a piano with water (thus ruining it) to see how it sounds.

So bear that in mind and try to keep a sense of humor. I know that's tough for TalkBass, where everyone is a serious working musician with no time to waste on silly interest sites like TalkBass.
