Crest CA9 with Speakons?

I'm looking into getting a crest CA9 to run two aguilar GS212s (4ohms 600 watts). On the Crest website it says that speakon connectors are not available in north america. I was wondering if anyone knows if the speakon version runs on 220 volts so I'd have to rig up a transformer to plug into OR can I (or a trained professional) swap the five way binding post out for speakons without voiding the warranty.

I've been using my CA9's banana plugs for coming up on 3 years without a single problem. I agree, it would be nice if the North American version had speakons. I'm not sure if you can have the binding posts swapped out for speakons without a warranty hassle, but you could check with Crest directly to see if they would consider doing it for you.

BTW, I power a pair of Aguilar GS112 cabs with my CA9. Great amp/cab setup IMHO.

I can imagine a pair of GS212's powered by a CA9 would be a fantastic setup.

Ditto. I use banana plugs on my CA-6 and have never had a problem. If I ever did experience a breakage in the field, I could easily strip the wire and use the binding posts in a pinch.
You can always put a plastic strain-relief clip on the back to secure the speaker cable.
