Critique my mix

Hey guys, I've started recording for my band, and am doing the mix on the first of the songs at the moment. Now, having heard this a million times and lost my ears, I was wondering if you guys could give me a little bit of input as to where I could improve the sound.

The vocals need to come up in the mix and I'd ditch the reverb on the vocals. I'm just being picky but I think I'd add a bit of autotune on the lead vocals. They are very pitchy but that's just my opinion.

Bass playing is excellent!

the bass sounds great, guitars sound great, drums sound great. i to would bring out the vocals a little bit.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll remix it a little bit and take on board what you've said, and I'll post the results later. I'm in 2 minds about whether or not to autotune it or not, I'll see how it sounds with the vocals more forward.

I can see why one would say " use autotune", but I really don't think that it would serve this track best - IMHO I kinda like the "rough" edge there is - serves the music very well. I'd pull up the female vox a bit. I'd leave the reverb in gives a nice ambience feel- awesome playing guys. let me know when the album hits the street I'd love to buy one

edit: oh and buy the way - did you maximise the master alot ? think it lacks a bit of definition - maybe maximise a bit less so you wont cut as many peaks. listen to this youtube for a A/B comparison with a song with and without the max loudness... GH3 one is better to my ears

I would not use auto tune, i like the sound of the vocals, but they do need brought up more. Also, this may just be personal, but I would turn down the rhythm guitars some. Excellent bass tone btw. Also, is there some reverb effect over the high hat or are is it just a little bit "clangy" sounding?

To my ears the pitch is not horrible, but does lend the rough feel of the song.
