Double Bass Crutch tip problem

I don’t think so. The dowel stays on the end pin. The dowel just seems to slowly wiggle its way out of the rubber. Possibly partially because of the angel. D872E206-050B-412F-8271-80AB3063A164.jpeg

You look like you're having the same problem I do when trying to stretch too small a rubber tip over the wooden end of my walking stick. The edges at the bottom of the stick are a bit rounded and the stretched walls aren't strong and elastically trying to spit out the stick in the first place. Is that possible here?

When I replace them with the proper size (like the ones in the above post) they're way more secure.

Do you have a 10mm threaded endpin? I've been using a kind of "ball-ish" screw on tip from Concord Imports sold on Reverb.com (it's been on other threads here) that's considerably softer than the Wolf ball end. Actually kind of mushy. Haven't had it long enough to judge durability though.

The Best Bass Screw fit "Pear-shaped" Endpin Rubber Tip, 10 mm Thread

Warning: there was no tracking info with the order and it was a bit slow. Started to think I'd been forgotten until it eventually arrived.
