So, I have this great Carvin LB75 with a jazz set up that I truly love. It really is a well made instrument and sounds really good but I cant help but think it could sound better. Electronically it's stock, active but some of the pots are getting noisy and crackly. I'm thinking about replacing the electronics but I really do like the tone it has now. Any thoughts?

Crvin LB75 replacement pickups. J-set

You have a wealth of options. The stock LB75 jazz-style pickups are of identical dimensions to the Fender Jazz bridge pickup - so high-quality aftermarket replacements are available from most of the major manufacturers, i.e. Bartolini, EMG, Nordstrand, Delano, Aero, DiMarzio, etc. etc.
Onboard preamps? The sky's pretty much the limit.
Beyond cleaning or replacing some worn-out or dirty pots, you should probably think about what, if anything, would improve its tone for you. If you like the tone as is, maybe Carvin could sell you some new replacement components, so you can keep it close to stock.
By the way, after many years of owning Carvins, I finally picked up a new LB75 myself. Except mine is getting brand new pickups and a brand new preamp - right out of the gate. Should get it back from the shop later this week - with its new set of Nordstrand Dual Coils (wired in parallel with three-way series/parallel/single-coil switches), plus an 18-volt Delano Sonar preamp with three-way midrange-frequency selector switch.
Combined with the famous Carvin materials & build quality, I fully expect that instrument to perform comparably to instruments costly at least twice the amount I paid for it.
