I just keep listening to this line over and over. The effect is amazing before the horn comes in, and after the horn comes in. Two other things amaze me about this line. First is that given the nature of the line and the playing style of the horn, I find the line impossibly hard to keep repeating in my head. The second is the amazing effect of the pattern and its stops underneath the band. Whatever. My words are failing. Just listen.

My other big fave is Gloria's Step Take 2 from the Vanguard dates (Bill Evans Trio). But that's too predictable, right?
