Custom neck?

Not sure if this is the proper forum, but I'm looking for a recommendation for a builder that can make me a custom neck (bolt-on) for one of my basses. I'm pretty sure it's not a standard neck/bass, so I don't think anything "off the shelf" will work, and I have some specific requirements for what I want. Anyone know of a source for such a thing? Cost is not a big deal if I can get what I want. Thanks.

Yep, we do custom necks here. Even wacky ones. Routine ones are easy. Many options are available.

Generally, I refer custom neck jobs to my buddy Keith Horne. His shop is right across the hall from mine, here in the Secret Underground Lab, in Fillmore, CA. We work together on most of these projects. He handles the overall order, and subcontracts some operations to me. I usually make up the truss rods and do some of the specialty machining work. He usually does the final shaping, details and fretwork. Keith is very good at shaping necks, particularly making a match to an existing neck.

A quick guess is about $450 for a replacement neck like that, with a simple satin finish.

We also do neck repairs and rebuilds, including truss rod replacement, fingerboard replacement, and major structural repairs. So, if you really like the existing neck, we can probably repair it or customize it.
