Custom ordering question

It doesn't list options pricing on G&L's website and my local store doesn't reopen till monday so I have a question: I would like to order a SB-2 in vintage white with a vintage cream pickguard which is standard, but then I would like a #5 neck with maple board and a gun oil finish. I figure the 1 3/4" neck should be no charge so I guess my question is how much for the neck tint and is there an extra charge for the fact that it is custom? Also, how much for a painted headstock?

Crap I'm long winded!

Summary: How much for gun oil tint and how much for a painted headstock? And is there a charge for the different neck?

I saw this combo on one today but with a standard neck and it looked like pure class! I was thinking that a vintage tint on the neck and board would really complete the package.

Thanks!

Interesting question, and I'd be interested in knowing about the neck as well..... My SB2 doesn't get much play here lately because I've realized 1 1/2" necks and me don't get along very well.....

Thanks Mike!

I went and checked out buffalo bros and their site says $200 for the Gun oil tint, $150 for the headstock and $50 to switch necks.

I was thinking that if I did the neck tint it would look better not painting the headstock....... maybe? Or leave the neck satin and paint the headstock....... That vintage white is pretty classy!

Will definitely get the 1 3/4" neck for my big mitts as my ibby SR gives me hand cramps but I love the necks on any L2k's I have played.

I am in Canada so prices may be a bit different. The store I will be going through has pretty good prices (for Canada) as they are asking $1100 for an SB-2 and $1300ish for a L2000.

Even with options it still comes out way cheaper than a Fender at 1700+ Canadian for an Am Std Jazz!

The only other thing I have heard is that it's a pretty long wait for a "custom" order. Maybe with the "economic downturn" things will be a little slower at the G&L factory?
