custom paint

ive been reading www.reranch.com and i still have some questions/doubts on paint.

say i take my guitar to an airbrush guy, are there certain paints to avoid or may cause damage? i'm rather interested in chameleon and metal flake paint schemes (i want to give people headaches), and they arent readily available off the shelf. so perhaps someone who does auto painting may have what i want, but i'm not sure if their paint will do harm

thinking about building some basses ala warmoth, but want to shape the body myself, and therefore would need to paint it locally

Hey Gen,

Flip flop colors(Prismatique/chameleon) are readilly available from most auto finishing supplies shops. DuPont, PPG, House Of Colors, Sikkens, Ditzler are just some manufacturers of such types of paints, and they all have sites you can google to find these types of paints. \

As for compatibility, you need to refer to the manufacturer to see what is and isn't compatible
