D and G string, low output

Is this usually a pickup issue, string distance to pickup issue?

I have a 5-string Jackson and the D, G strings output is very low compared to the remaining 3 strings.

Of course we don’t know for sure but those 2 strings are lower mass. Try raising that side of the pickup. Or lowering the bass side. Won’t hurt anything to try. No guesswork guarantee but it’s more likely to be height or string related than anything electrical.
