Jazz Bass Day At Bass Central...Some D Lakins arrived for me to check out..Prototypes I will be doing some Audio/video for. The Dominik Series Strikes As amazing both in Sound And Play-ability in the $600 Price point. Short scale J bass(30') and 34' Scale J bass Both Arrived. Nothing Touches this to my Knowledge in Quality in this Price Point. Also got a Joe Osborne 5 That Has A GREAT Tone and Play-ability.
What has been clear to me on all these is the comfort factor of the Necks and Fingerboards. Also Got A Shark 4 that I am doing some Audio/video for that as well. Dan really nailed it with these basses.

I played that Shark a few weeks ago when I stopped in. Wasn't for me tone-wise but fantastic necks on all the Lakins as expected. Really happy to see they're doing bound & blocked necks with P-spacing, too. If you think Dan would do a 1.75 Glaub custom in shell pink, we need to talk.
