    I bought this set of D'Addario 4th tuning cello strings thinking that I'd buy a cello soon after. The cello was sold by the time I got there. The strings are brand new. Never used. Package never opened.

    I didn't know D'Addario was making a 4th tuning cello set!
    Was this a special order?
    How are they tuned?

    They are tuned like a bass but an octave higher. E, A, D, G low to high. Easier for a bassist to play cello. Got them on the website.
