Dallas Luthiers and woodworkers; a question

Hey I live in Dallas, and I just wanted to ask others where they are buying their lumber, I know of a few places like woodworld and austin hardwoods (which I am not sure is still in business; phone number is disconnected)

So anyone? surely UPS is not trucking in everyone's online order. Also how about building basses out of woods indigenous to your state, Mesquite??

FYI, I get emails every week from S.V.S. Tonewoods in Slovakia.

Lastly, Chris Savino collects wood from old dried up and abandoned barns. It is old hardwood, already well dried and easy to work.

thanks. though I am a touchy feely guy when it comes to picking out things, I like to have my hands on it before I buy it, hence the need for a good local lumber source
