Danelectro Fab Tone

I have an older Danelectro Fab Tone. I needed to replace the input jack, which I did. However, I did it with a normal jack. I need the on that will, when running off the battery, not allow the unit to turn on unless there is an input cable plugged in the jack. Does anyone know exactly what it is named and where I can get 1?

You need a stereo Jack. From just about any electronics supplier.

They have three contacts. The usual two plus a third in between. The battery goes to the middle contact so that it gets grounded when the plug inserts and completes the battery circuit.
