That's not what I said or meant. If I had a choice between the Pro version or the regular one, for performing a lot? I said the Pro version would probably be a better choice. But, only because the full size bass tuners are easier to deal with - if you have to. And so is the Pro bridge - if you have to. I never said you couldn't perform with the standard bridge and tuners. Quite the opposite, in fact. I have both. The Pro version, IMO, is easier, and quicker. Probably why it's called the Pro model...

I think my Danos are no problem to gig with, and I do. Some people don't think so, but I don't really understand what they do with their instruments. People tour the world all the time with instruments that are much more fragile than a Danelectro (violins, mandolins, etc). I mean, sure, if you're Joe Strummer and you want to be able to throw your guitar across the stage to a roady who might or might not catch it, ... whatever.
I've never had issues with intonation. I can get as much variation depending on how I fret, as there is from the popsickle stick saddle.
Flats last for years.
The wooden saddle shouldn't float. Even if you don't keep the screw tight (and I don't keep it tight, to make it easier to intonate), the string tension holds it securely in position. Unless you're Joe Strummer tossing your guitar around like a ... I don't know... like something that you don't care about.
We don't do that, because we're nice to our Danos, right?
