My beloved Dano Rumor Precision-type super-mod is out of the closet and on the block!
Super retro cool styling with sparkle finish and a shape reminiscent of a Mosrite -- the red example weighs just 7 lbs 1 oz!
This was modded to eliminate some super cheap original parts: I have installed a DiMarzio Model P pickup, Sperzel locking tuners, Hipshot B-Style bridge. What's super nice about this array is that between the quick-release bridge and the locking tuners you can change out strings in moments.
Another interesting (and stupid) feature is that these basses came with an internal chorus effect powered by a 9-volt and activated by a button you'll see on the top upper bout. This is fully disconnected, but the unit is intact.
All in all, my successful attempt to create a LOUD bass that you can play all night without fatigue is here for the plucking .. but THAT'S NOT ALL YOU GET! That's right -- the bass's blue-sparkle, neck and body only sibling will come along for the ride! I set the blue one up identically but have since scavenged off all the nice parts. Body and neck -- no strings on this one for years so the neck is back bowed as you'd expect. Mix 'em, match 'em, knock yourself out!
