I've been hearing some stuff done by him on a cd a friend gave me. I think he has some chops and makes some interesting music. Anybody knows any work from him they could recommend me?

He's been a member some years ago, along with his buddy Jeff Berlin, they even had personalized forums here, which they deleted after somebody disputed Jeff's comment that he invented slapping...

Dann still seems to have a forum @ Link Removed but it's deserted. Last I heard, though, he quit bass playing and now plays guitar.

I always thought he had some cops, but the midi stuff he used was too generic and cheap-sounding to be bearable for me. Can't recommend anything, sorry.

I think it was more the case that people were insulting, abusive and disrespectful to Jeff - he didn't need it - our loss though...

I heard some strange things regarding Dann.
Brilliant bassist, but disturbed individule.
Something about not fully "recovering" from Vietnam or the like.
Never leaving his house for weeks on end.

This is a rumor that has been floating around the web for some time. I wish someone could set it right.

The stuff I heard of him playing was great. I agree the backing tracks were midi and left a little to be desired, but he could play.

I once met Dann , circa 1981, he was playing in a wedding band, of all things at a good friend of mine's wedding reception, amazing player!
